Polyacetal (POM), also known as acetal resin, provides a unique combination of high tensile strength, stiffness, fatigue resistance, and low friction. This ensures the snap keeps its "snap action" tension over thousands of open-close cycles. Unlike cheaper alternatives like PP or PE, POM does not stretch out of shape and shows excellent resistance to hot water wash cycles and solvents.
For premium garments exported worldwide, factories use needle detectors to spot broken sewing needles. Standard iron snaps will trigger these alarms. To prevent this, we produce snaps using high-purity copper, brass, zinc alloy, and POM plastic.
